Sorry for the wacky, wobbly quality of videos this time guise. I drank Barbed Wire (HELLA GOOD DOUBLE SHOT ESPRESSO GITIT. It did it's job..and had the caffeine coursing through my veins when this show was goin on.
Not to mention-it sucks, but these grooves got me movin' and my feet seldom take orders from my brain once the music starts. (They're also kinda connected to the resta me, unfortunately)
So pretty much -
If you're havin' a hard time watching these I've thrown down a couple gif's to stare at to get your eyes goin' while yer ears are busy.

Jackie Islands !
It was the first time hearing this band and I was really stoked on the sounds that banged on my eardrums. There's no better band that coulda kick'd off this particular show - people were buzzin' over to the House like gnats...(like the really attractive and nice smelling kind, ya know?) These guys seemed really chill on top of it! Looking forward to a future interview with Jackie Islands so be sure to keep an eye and ear out for a future glimpse of these fellas!
I am super bummed out that I was not able to recover a video of these guys from the show they played at the House on this night - but that just means you're gonna have to take my word that it was ultra ultra. Here's a preview:

These electro-space dudes were uh.. "ON FLEEK" if you will..!!
dontreallyknowwhatthefuckafleekisbutprobablylookslikeamogdancinginspace
(seebelow)Even after one light-y tree almost ate dirt on stage, these fellas destroyed their set before it knew what hit it - arm-in-arm swayin' like a few psychedelic palm trees. If your soul's dyin' to dig into some feel good electronic waves get hip to their sounds and start movin' .. you're fix will be granted, pinky promise. Wonderful feelins fall together when smooth spacey vocals meets smashin' space jams.

An ode to the 12th (Just wanted to apologize - Still kinda foggy on the status of the "March" in the previous flyer and previous post, but here's April March to further confuse you - mostly because this song's been stuck in my head since I exited the womb)
ahem.
If you're lookin' for a leg up on stage-presence .. grab yer thinkin' pad..Or tampon. And start jottin' notes. I frankly am a bit lost for words after seeing them play the house! ..great energy, intriguing echos and simply unstoppable beats that really tend to throw your ears' gang of blood hounds hot off their trail like a Wiley kinda coyote..if ya feel me. Here's some sights and sounds you're gonna be sad to miss in the future. If not then you've come to the wrong blog/planet/universe.

Tentacles Everywhere !
Close your eyes and count to..Octopus.
Don't hate me if you do not agree. But I feel like, If Yolandi Visser had a folk counterpart and a much poised, elfen songbird of a sister, at that...the female vocalist of Tentacles Everywhere would have her dead beat. I've felt on occasion that female singers possessing a higher-pitch / airy type of voice naturally face the struggle of sounding a bit monotonous or somewhat subdued ("drown out") by accompanying instrumentals. Not the case with Tentacles Everywhere! The duo compliment each other very well and the array of varying instruments keeps ya on your tippy toes. Also the male vocalist resembles the result of Johnny Depp and Johnny Cash gettin' thrown in a blender. But you didn't hear it from me. These tunes will treat ya right or I'm a rotten tomato.

Too young to drink. So grab yer ski gear and a beer and start cradle robbin'. These fellas melted faces faster than a quesadilla hittin' high heat. These dudes are mega talented and'll deliver ya tunes that'll chill your nerves for real. Great energy and unity between members - Give 'em a listen 'cause your brain's kinda hungry and get 'em to play Dekalb summore. Also! Feel free to stalk 'em! (via link below)
